Description

This is an antique or vintage wood duck decoy with its original paint. I am uncertain as to exactly how old it is, but it definitely has very good age. It measures 6 inches tall x 16 3/4 inches long x 6 1/2 inches wide (15.2 cm, 42.5 cm, 16.5 cm). Much of the paint has either worn off or crackled. The head can go all the way around 360°, as it is not fully secured to the body. I don’t know if this was done on purpose though, given the nail in its head. There is another very tiny nail just where the head meets the body. It looks like someone nailed it in to keep the head from moving, though it keeps popping out. One of the metal eyes is coming out a little, though it is still very secure. The beak is chipped off at the end. I will have to say, please use the photos as your guide! It weighs 2 pounds 10 oz. (1.188 kg).
