Description

This auction is for a used but very good condition hand carved wood Eastern bluebird decoy mounted on a piece of wood branch. The bluebird has been hand carved, hand painted, and full size. The bottom has no name wording. This decoy was made in Shelby, Ohio by now deceased Mark Lowmiller. He was a former president of the First National Bank of Shelby that along with Farmers Bank was bought out by First Citizens Bank and renamed to Civista. The decoy came from the collection of deceased Jon P. Schaefer, Attorney in Shelby, Ohio. The decoy with wood together measures about 6 1/2" long x 3 1/2" tall x 1 3/4" wide. THE DECOY SONG BIRD IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH SOME SLIGHT AGE WEAR, BUT HAS A SMALL CHIP OF WOOD MISSING ON ONE TIP OF THE WING FEATHERS. I have several more to list along with ducks songbirds and shore birds.
