Description

For your consideration is a beautiful black duck decoy by Frank Schmidt of Centerline, MI. This is a solid body duck with glass eyes. The paint, I believe, is original with a little flaking on the back, neck and under the tail. Wonderful feather carvings on the body and a nicely painted head. Almost 18" Bill tip to tail tip, base about 7.5" wide. Frank made great ducks, but not quite as detailed as his brother Ben's later work. This is a great Michigan duck that shows very nicely.
