Description

This auction is for a very hard to find pair of near mint unrigged D-45 mallard duck decoys by the Animal Trap Company of Pascagoula Mississippi circa 1950s. This rare transition period pair of decoys were made in the 1950's as the company was transitioning from all wooden decoys to the hard plastic decoys of the 1960s. These D-45s have excellent wooden decoy bodies with a metal bracket at the neck that holds on the hard plastic heads. This rare pair have never been hunted or even rigged to hunt which makes them even more collectible. They both have the round Animal Trap ink stamps on the bottom. They are approximately 15 1/2 inches long. The shipping cost stated is for the lower 48 states.
