Vintage Pintail Duck Decoy, Hand Painted, Display Stand Included Description : A working or displayable Pintail Duck Decoy, 17.25”L (bill to tail), unknown carver, base includes keel weight and anchoring ring. Original paint. Acquired at Estate Sale in Yorktown, VA, Lower Chesapeake Bay, early 1980's. Beautiful folk art item, ready to display in your cave, lodge, or library. Likely carved of white cedar or similar species; painted eyes. Head is secure and solid. Curved, weighted base - 5.5" wide. Condition : Very Good to Excellent with genuine wear, rubs, nicks, etc., consistent with age. Aging cracks in wood/paint as shown in accompanying photos. Does not appear to have been touched up. This is a working decoy with weight and anchoring rink attached. Measurements : Approx. 17-1/4”L x 5-1/2”W x 7-3/4”H overall. Weight : 2lb. 6oz. (1060gr).
