Description

CHARLIE "SPEED" JOINER (1921-2015) Bettertown. Maryland on the Chesapeak. Solid body, wide bill, paint eyes and signed, Canvasback hen. Carved during his 2nd period. He started carving when he was 14 and worked with the greats such as Madison Mitchell and the Wards. Carved over 40,000 decoys of which many are signed like this one. Ballist weight removed from the bottom and a splash of white paint on neck. Overall in very good condition.
