Description
This auction is for a very nice old glass eyed drake canvasback decoy. On the bottom written in pen is the attribution to a Harry M. Wilson 1936 or 1940. I am not familiar with this carver and the head is very similar to an Animal Trap canvasback head so it is perhaps reheaded. The end result either way is a very nice looking glass eyed old drake can. He is in good structural condition with some tight reglued neck cracks, and a replaced piece of wood down the bottom of the decoy. I believe he is in a mix of original paint and old working repaint. He has his original glass eyes. He is approximately 15 inches long. The shipping cost stated is for the lower 48 states. Please check out my other auctions as I will be listing lots of decoys and sporting collectibles in the coming weeks and months. I would be happy to combine shipping costs for US winners of multiple auctions. Good Luck!
