canvasback duck decoy early Madison Mitchell Havre de Grace Md. ca. 1940 An early machine made canvasback duck decoy by R. Madison Mitchell ( 1901-1993) from Havre de Grace, Maryland circa 1940. Measures 16 inches from the tip of the bill to the tail, painted eyes, in old in use repaint with wear,applied ballast weight, N-S anchor tie staple ( parallel to the body length - soon after that he turned them perpendicular to the body AKA east -west to prevent cracking) ,age crack on the lower left side of the body. Guaranteed to be as described/pictured. NOTE; 1.most of the shine on the decoys is from the camera lights The picture s are part of the description.
